What piping design software does Samtech3D support?+

Samtech3D supports AutoCAD Plant 3D, AVEVA E3D, AVEVA PDMS, Autodesk Navisworks, and CAESAR II, plus common laser scanning / point cloud workflows (Leica, FARO). Deliverables can include models, IFC isometrics, GAs, BOMs, and fabrication spool packages.

Do you work remotely or on-site?+

Both. Most design and drafting work is delivered remotely with secure file exchange. On-site support is available when walkdowns, scan coordination, or field verification add value - especially for Northeast Ohio and Midwest projects, with travel arranged as needed across the U.S.

Can you help with Plant 3D administration and specs?+

Yes. Beyond modeling, Samtech3D provides Plant 3D advanced administration: specs and catalogs, custom parts, XML project configuration, standards cleanup, and C#/.NET automation support when teams need the tool configured correctly for production work.

How do laser scans become usable as-builts?+

We convert point clouds into piping-relevant as-built models and tie-in packages - clearances, connection points, and coordination views - then update Plant 3D, E3D, PDMS, or drawing sets so design decisions match what is actually in the plant.

What is included in piping spool packages?+

Fabrication-ready spool packages typically include spool break planning (shop vs field welds), spool drawings, cut lists / BOMs, and coordination with approved IFC isometrics so the shop can fabricate and ship without guesswork.

Do you provide CAESAR II stress analysis?+

Samtech3D supports CAESAR II analysis workflows and stress-aware routing: model/export preparation from Plant 3D or E3D, analysis support, and layout revisions based on flexibility and support findings. Scope is defined per project so handoffs to your stress engineer stay clear when required.

What industries do you serve?+

How quickly can a project start?+

Most inquiries receive a response within one business day. Work can often start as soon as scope, software environment, and files (P&IDs, models, scans, markups) are shared. Urgent overflow support is available when deadlines are tight.

Where is Samtech3D based?+

Samtech3D is based in Northeast Ohio (Cleveland area) and supports clients across the United States through remote delivery, with on-site visits when the project needs them.
